<![CDATA[The Bottle Wrench Bottle Opener - Shop Blog]]>Wed, 17 Feb 2016 09:22:19 -0500Weebly<![CDATA[New Packaging (Finally!)]]>Fri, 22 Nov 2013 13:31:03 GMThttp://www.thebottlewrench.com/shop-blog/new-packaging-finallyWe’ve got some new retail packaging and it looks sweet!

We’ve been working on this since the spring and it’s finally done. The new packaging will be a huge improvement over the current tags for our Original size Bottle Wrenches and looks great in the process.

Keep an eye out for it to start popping up in retail locations soon.
The Bottle Wrench will be hanging from the top of the bottle down the center.
It will be secured via 550-paracord and a tie.

Here's a sneak peek at the finished product and what it will look like on store shelves.
What was that you say? You still want the brown wrapping for your personal orders? No Problem!

For all of our online orders we'll still be sending them out the good 'ol way with the brown wrapping with twine ties (just like below).
<![CDATA[Mission Movember 2013]]>Fri, 01 Nov 2013 11:59:52 GMThttp://www.thebottlewrench.com/shop-blog/mission-movember-2013We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing back our Mission Movember project for 2013. During the month of November we’ll take a portion of each order and make a donation to help fight men’s health issues.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, the big question is if some of the guys in the shop want to get in on the action. We’re in the process of forming a team so if you can grow a few whiskers for a good cause let us know!
<![CDATA[Where did the summer go? ]]>Sun, 27 Oct 2013 16:09:23 GMThttp://www.thebottlewrench.com/shop-blog/where-did-the-summer-goIt’s been a while since the last blog post and an even busier summer, but the warm sunny days are over and we’re barreling head first into football season, pumpkin beers, spice brews and the holiday season. But let’s take a second to get y’all up to speed on what we’ve been up to over the past few months….
First, we had a complete blast at the 2013 Savannah Craft Brew Festival this year. You could not have asked for a better event and our booth was a rockin’ the ENTIRE TIME with new and old friends alike. The only complaint is that we were so busy that we couldn’t try all of the brews on tap. We’ve already looking forward to being there again next year.
Sorry for the crummy picture, we were too busy to take a proper one!
Following that we packed up and hit the road for the ATL for the 2013 Great Atlanta Beer Fest at Turner Field, which is always a good time. We saw some familiar faces and were happy to meet some of the newer brewers up in the capital city. Atlanta’s already has a serious craft beer scene and there’s more remarkable stuff brewing for the coming year.
Our tent is the blue one on the right.
Once we got past those shows we were looking forward to a few days of R&R but that was not gonna happen. The big wheel kept on turning and we partnered up with the Liquid Wrench brand for a HUGE promotional deal where they gave out our key chain sized Bottle Wrenches to attendees of the 2013 World Maker Fair.
All of this along craziness along with our daily shop work has kept us more than busy, but we’ve still got a few surprises in the works. The next big thing is “Mission Movember 2013” and there will be more updates on that one later.

Cheers Y'all!

We're proud to announce/showoff our newest wholesale displays for our retail partners. Hopefully you'll be able to find them in stores throughout the US very soon.

Speaking of wholesale, if you know someone we should be working with shoot us an email at TheShop@TheBottleWrench.com. You will be rewarded!

...and It's Gotta Stick.

We're just as excited to show off our new Bottle Wrench stickers. If you see one of the crew out and about hit them up because there's a good chance you might score one for yourself. If you see one in the wild let us know!

Also ALL orders will now get one shipped with the order until we run out.

<![CDATA[Upcoming Brewers]]>Tue, 18 Jun 2013 11:22:39 GMThttp://www.thebottlewrench.com/shop-blog/upcoming-brewersOne of the great things about being part of the Bottle Wrench crew is the amazing people that you meet along the way.

We've grown right along with these upcoming brewers and can't wait to wrench some caps off of a few of their brews in the near future. While these are just a few, these guys (and gals) have made it a point to have some fun with us along the way.

If you ever run into them, give 'em some love...
Southbound Brewing
(Savannah, GA)

Carly and Smith at Southbound have been friends of the shop since they invited us over for a sneak peek at the brewery months ago. They are single handedly raising the craft brew bar here in Savannah while making friends along the way. We could not be happier for them and can't wait to see their brews take over the Southeast and the world!

Strawn Brewing
(Fairburn, GA)

The guys over at Strawn are as down to earth as you can get, from home brewers to becoming pros they are legit. We met them at the 2012 Atlanta Summer Beer Fest and fell in love with their brews (& logo). You have no idea how excited we were to see their beer make it down to Savannah this spring and we're doing our part to spread the word.

Monkey Wrench Brewing
(Atlanta, GA)

Wayne and his crew are another team we're excited about. After our first meeting at the 2012 Atlanta Summer Beer Fest we've been following their growth and expect to see them make it big(er) VERY soon.
Wayne if you read this we still expect a tour next time we're in Atlanta.

Frozen Pints
(Atlanta, GA)

Okay, so they might not be "brewers," but with stuff this amazing they get a free pass. Their ice cream is amazing, but the crew is just as cool. (See what we did there?) Their beer ice cream is one of the best things you can put in your mouth and we make it a point to pick up a few pints every time we find it.

Macon Beer Company
(Macon, GA)

We've been pals with these guys since we found a random M.B.C. sticker at a pizza joint in Macon. They are still in the build-out stage now, but will be brewing delicious beer for central Georgia soon enough and we can't wait to try it.

Eventide Brewing
(Atlanta, GA)

Talk about "brothers-from-anotha'-motha" these guys have been working to grow just a along as we have. With the constriction in process and permits in hand it will not be long before we're finding an excuse to head to Atlanta for a "business meeting" with these guys.

<![CDATA[Meet the Crew...]]>Mon, 13 May 2013 14:40:06 GMThttp://www.thebottlewrench.com/shop-blog/meet-the-crewWelcome to "Shop Talk" which is the new blog for the Bottle Wrench team. We're excited to be able to share more info about us, shop news, cool articles, and what we're getting into. This is sure to change over time, so enjoy the ride.

With this being our first post it seems like a great way to start is by introducing the crew. So sit back, pry open a cold one, and meet the family.

Here's a few of the people that make the Bottle Wrench Bottle Opener happen... Picture
Jake C. -

Jake is the inventor of The Bottle Wrench and started our company with a few tools, a cold beverage, and a computer. Now he runs the day to day operations of the shop and runs the social media for us. Did you see that cool Twitter post or Facebook link? Yeah, that was Jake.

A little know fact about Jake is that he has been making/fixing things his whole life. If something is broken and you need it fixed call Jake.

Matt M. -

Matt joined the crew via an introduction of a friend to a friend to a friend and now runs the sales department for us. He makes sure that our retail buddies are nice and happy while maintaing an amazing man beard.

Cool fact, before joining the team he worked on TV shows and movie productions.
(Yes, he is in fact a movie star).

Jim W. -

Jim got on board after a "business" meeting one afternoon at a local watering hole. Jim slings Wrenches on our sales team and has been know to roll up his sleeves and help out in the shop when needed.

Jim just had a beautiful daughter.
Scratch that, his wife had their daughter and not Jim. That would have been strange.

Grant G. -

Grant is the one guy that keeps this place in business as the shop accountant. If Grant was not around we would have blown all of the shop's profits on that sweet pirate ship that was for sale a few weeks ago.

Grant has a pool, so if it's nice and sunny he's your new best friend. He is also the master of the company corn hole set.

Kristen C. -

Kristen was crazy enough to marry our founder Jake in 2010 and helps out around the shop when she's not at her real job. She can do it all from forming Wrenches to packing orders while keeping the guys in line at the same time.

FYI, Kristen is learning to become a bee keeper.

Roxie the Shop Dog -

Roxie has been a part of the crew from day one. She's a lab mixed with a basset hound.

She mostly naps, eats anything, and barks at bugs these days.
